Captain OverviewI was born in Crawfordville, Florida, but raised in Rives, Tennessee, where I grew up fishing Reelfoot Lake, Kentucky Lake, and the local rivers every chance I got. Being on the water isn’t something I picked up later it’s something I’ve lived my whole life. After high school, I served four years in the United States Marine Corps, where I learned discipline, hard work, and how to handle whatever the day throws at you.For the past 8 years, I’ve worked as an Industrial Electrician at a Steel Mill, building a career that’s taught me problem-solving, consistency, and a strong work ethic. But my goal has always been bigger than working inside a plant. I’ve always been drawn to the water and the freedom that comes with it.After my service, I came back home to Martin with my wife and our five kids. At 33, I’m building Seven Tides Charters from the ground up putting in the time now, learning the guiding business the right way, and gaining real experience on the water. Over the next five years, the plan is to transition to Florida and run a full-time charter business, giving my family more time together and building something of our own.I’m putting in the time now to do it right and build something that lasts.

A typical day on the water starts early, leaving the dock at 8:00 AM and heading straight to where the fish are biting. Depending on the time of year and what you’re after weather that be catfish, bass, crappie, or bluegill, we’ll set up with the right gear and get lines in the water quickly. Some days that means working structure and cover for bass, easing along shallow banks for bluegill, or setting lines and waiting on big catfish to hit. If the bite slows down, we’ll move and stay on fish to keep the action going. All trips include rods, reels, bait, and tackle, everything you need for a good day on the water. I’ll help with baiting hooks, techniques, and landing fish, whether you’re experienced or brand new. Just bring what you want to drink, any snacks, and be ready to fish. I will have a cooler of ice cold water. All guests must follow Tennessee fishing regulations and have a valid Tennessee fishing license unless exempt by state law.At the end of the day, we’ll head back to the dock with stories to tell and, hopefully, a cooler full of fish.
